Hard water and Stage 2 Fire Ban

Hard Water Update: The Public Works Department has been working hard to get the break fixed. They have been able to get a temporary fix until the part comes in. Hard water is on for now. Stage 2 Fire Ban has been enacted and will remain in effect until August 13, 2026.

Stage 2 Fire Ban

The Town of Fowler is under a Stage 2 Fire Ban until August 13, 2026. Please see the below for the exact restrictions that are included in this ban.

8.28.050 - Stage 2 restrictions.

Prohibits the following activities:

  1.  All open burning as defined other than those exceptions/exemptions as noted in Section 8.28.080 below;
  2. The sale or use of fireworks (as defined above) pursuant to Section 30-15-401(1)(n.5), C.R.S.;
  3. Outdoor smoking except within an enclosed vehicle or building, a developed recreation site or while in an area of at least three feet in diameter that is barren or cleared of all flammable materials;
  4. Welding or operating acetylene or other similar torch with open flame unless said work is performed in an area at least thirty feet in diameter that is clear of flammable vegetation and unless the worker has ready access to a fire extinguisher or water supply suitable to suppress any fire that results from the welding operation.
